To View a Nominal Account's Activity
1. Select the nominal account or accounts you wish to view from the Nominal Ledger window list-box.
2. From the Nominal Ledger toolbar, click Activity. (You can also view a nominal accountÆs activity by clicking the Activity tab from the Nominal Record window.)
The Defaults window appears. Enter the range you require, then to continue click OK.
If you continue, the Nominal Ledger Activity window appears, showing the transactions that have been made to your selected account. You cannot edit this window.
Each transaction is listed for the selected nominal account, one line per transaction.
The following fields are displayed.
Transactions which have been æclearedÆ from the audit trail are shown as carried forward totals with a reference of O/BAL. These will usually be the shown first on the list.
Note: If you are viewing the Activity of a Bank Account or a Reserved Control Account (e.g. the Debtors or Creditors Control Accounts, or VAT on Sales and Purchases), double-click on a line of the report to see the individual items that make up that transaction. When you do this, the Ref column shows the nominal account codes to which the items were posted. If you show the items that make up each transaction for a Bank Account or a Reserved Control Account, choose the Tidy List button to clear all sub-items from view.
3. To change the transaction and/or date ranges for your activity report, click Range.
You can print this report from the Nominal Reports window.
4. When you have finished viewing the details of an account, either choose another account using the Finder button, or click Close.
